With these tasty and adorable cake pops by Erika, you can bring the well-known Mario Bros. characters to life. Ideal as a fun treat for gamers or for themed parties!

Ingredients:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting
  • 1 package candy melts red, blue, white, and black
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Edible markers black, red

Instructions:

Bake the chocolate cake according to the package instructions and let it cool

Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl

Add softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the crumbled cake

Mix until well combined

Add chocolate frosting to the mixture and mix until it forms a dough-like consistency

Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into ball shapes

Melt the candy melts in separate bowls according to the package instructions

Dip the lollipop sticks into the melted candy melts and insert them into the cake balls

Dip each cake pop into the melted candy melts, coating them evenly

Allow excess to drip off

Place the cake pops on a parchment-lined tray to set

Once the candy coating is set, use edible markers to draw Mario Bros faces on the cake pops

Let the edible marker drawings dry completely before serving
